1980年代にイギリス・グラナダTVで製作された『シャーロック・ホームズの冒険』のシャーロック役のJeremy Brettが、The Meryy Widowで歌っています。彼はミュージカル『マイ・フェア・レディ』に出演したことがありますが、声が合わない理由（ブレット氏はバリトン。映画ではテノール歌手の別の人が歌っています）により、彼自身の歌声でないのが残念でした。しかしこのCDでは、彼のバリトンの声がたくさん聞けます。他のオペラ歌手と比べても遜色ない美しい声の持ち主で、彼は俳優だけでなく歌手としても素晴らしい才能をもっていたことがわかります。Brett氏の声はThe Merry Widowだけ。他のThe Lilac Domino、The Belle of New Yorkにはありません。CD全体では歌声や演奏ともによかったですが、なんといってもGlawari役(The Merry Widow)のJune Bronhill氏の声がやはり最高でした。
